League Fortress. Overview.
The League Fortress is a building constructed by your League Marshal to unify your forces and strengthen your armies.
League Fortresses have 31 levels (0-30). When first constructed, League Fortresses will be at Level 3, but can be downgraded to zero by rival Leagues. The higher the Level of your League Fortress, the greater the bonuses. Each upgrade Level:
- Grants you additional Influence Points.
- Increases your Influence Bonus.
- Increases the bonuses you are able to receive from your Fields of Knowledge.
Fields of Knowledge are special areas of discovery that allow a League to simultaneously boost the statistics of ALL of its Members' armies.
The League Fortress interface has 3 main tabs:
1. Info. In this tab you can:
- View League Resources (Glory Points and Tomes) as well as the number of Sapphires you personally hold
- View League Resource history. This shows which League Members have used which League Resources, including how much they have used, and when they used them.
- Rename your League Fortress. Those League Members authorized to do so must simply click on the icon next to the Fortress' current name.
- Relocate your League Fortress. This only applies to those League Members authorized to do so.
- View various Upgrade Requirements. This indicates the number of requirements that must be met in order for a Fortress to be able to be upgraded to the next Level.
- View current League Bonuses. Bonuses granted from League Knowledge, as well as any Influence Bonuses, will be displayed here.
2. Garrisons. Here you can see which Units are currently stationed at your League Fortress (meaning Reinforcements sent to the Fortress by other League Members).
3. Knowledge. Here you can:
- View League Resources (Glory Points and Tomes) as well as the number of Sapphires you personally hold.
- View League Resource history. This shows which League Members have used which League Resources, including how much they have used, and when they used them.
- View your Fields of Knowledge and their current Levels. League Marshals – and those League Members authorized to do so – are able to Upgrade Fields of Knowledge. Upgrading Fields of Knowledge to higher Levels means all League Members will receive even greater bonuses.
Remember: your Fortress also provides storage for League Resources. If a League is dismissed, all Units stationed at its League Fortress will automatically return to their owners' Catacombs – however, all League Resources will be permanently lost.
Fortress Building and Relocation
Building your Fortress
Each League may build ONE League Fortress, which can only be built by the League Marshal.
There are several ways to build a League Fortress:
1. From the Global Map. Open the Map and click on the "Build League Fortress" button. You will be shown a list of special locations where you are able to construct your League Fortress. These locations are called "Fortress Foundations". Simply choose the location where you would like to build your League Fortress, then click "Place Fortress". Bear in mind that the location of your League Fortress should be suitable for all League Members, as they will be called upon to protect it in times of need.
2. From the "My League" tab at the Embassy. Go to the "League description" section and press the "Build League Fortress" button next to your League's name. You will be taken to the Map and shown which Fortress Foundations are currently available.
Important: You can build your League Fortress only if your League is 7 days old or more.
Relocating your Fortress
League Fortress Gateways are special items that can be used to change a Fortress' location on the Map. League Marshals – or those League Members with permission to do so – are able to use League Fortress Gateways to relocate their League Fortress to a new location of their choosing. Each League Fortress can only be relocated ONCE per day. League Fortress Gateways can be acquired from the Black Market, within the "Special" tab.
BE AWARE: Once a League Fortress is relocated, it cannot be moved back to its previous location.
When relocating a League Fortress, all Units stationed there will be relocated along with it, and all ongoing Upgrades happening at the Fortress shall continue as normal. If a rival League attacks your fortress at the moment of relocation, their Units will be returned to them.
Fortress Management
Some League Fortress features are initially only available to the League Marshal. To allow other League members to use League Resources, or to rename or relocate their League Fortress, the League Marshal must give permission to those users from within the "My League" tab at the Embassy.
Every fully-fledged League Member is able to contribute to the defense of their own League Fortress, as well as any attacks on other Leagues' Fortresses. Every fully-fledged League Member is also able to contribute towards the upgrade of their League's Fortress – as well as to the upgrade of various Fields of Knowledge – by participating in Tournaments and League Quests and helping their League earn League Resources. League Marshals – and other League Members with permission to do so – can view their League's Resource history from within the "League Resource History" tab.
BE AWARE: If a League Member leaves their League, all Units they have garrisoned at their League Fortress will be sent back to their personal Catacombs. However, all League Resources gained will remain in the League Account – and not taken by the leaving player.
Fortress Downgrade
Each League should strive to downgrade other Leagues' Fortresses for two main reasons. The first of which is to deprive rival Leagues of their much sought-after bonuses. The second of which is that downgrading other Leagues' Fortresses is a key requirement in a League upgrading their own. If you want to boost your own Fortress, you're going to have to go to war with rival Leagues! To downgrade a rival Fortress, your League must perform a successful attack on it.
Important: League Fortresses cannot be downgraded more than ONCE per day.
If another League successfully attacks your Fortress whilst an upgrade is not in progress, your Fortress will be downgraded by one Level, and 50% of the Glory Points spent on the most recent successful upgrade will be returned to your League. If another League manages to perform a successful attack on your Fortress whilst it is being upgraded, the upgrade will fail, and your Fortress will be downgraded by one Level. Your League will be reimbursed 75% of the Glory Points spent on the attempted upgrade, as well as a further 50% of the Glory Points spent on the most recent successful upgrade. If a League Fortress is downgraded while a Field of Knowledge is being upgraded, the upgrade will continue as normal, and will not be interrupted.
BE AWARE: you cannot attack other League Fortresses while your diplomatic status is "At Peace".
Milestone Levels
Milestone Levels are key in keeping the strength of your League Fortress. Once a League Fortress has been upgraded up to or beyond a Milestone Level, it cannot be downgraded below it.
Fortress Upgrade. Glory Points.
League Fortresses have 31 Levels – from 0 to 30.
Each upgrade Level:
- Grants you additional Influence Points.
- Increases your Influence Bonus.
- Increases the bonuses you are able to receive from your Fields of Knowledge.
Your League needs to fulfill several requirements to upgrade its League Fortress:
1. Hold enough Glory Points. You can get Glory Points by participating in Tournaments, or by purchasing them from the "Info" tab of your League Fortress.
2. Hold the required number of Beacons of the required Level.
3. Hold the required positions in the League Rankings
4. Downgrade a Fortress of the required Level or higher. This requirement must be completed only ONCE for each upgrade Level.
Upgrading your League Fortress takes time, but League Marshals – and those granted permission to do so – can speed up this process with Sapphires. Normal process Boosts cannot be used to speed up this process, and Fortress upgrades cannot be cancelled – so think carefully before deciding to upgrade your League Fortress.
IMPORTANT: If another League successfully attacks your Fortress whilst an Upgrade is not in progress, your Fortress will be downgraded by one Level, and 50% of the Glory Points spent on the most recent successful upgrade will be returned to your League.

Each Field of Knowledge also provides your League with an Influence Bonus. The higher the Level of the Field of Knowledge, the greater the bonus!
League Members will only be able to visit their League Fortress – and benefit from its bonuses – once they have been a Member of their League for 7 days or more.
Knowledge Levels. Upgrade. Tomes.
To increase the bonuses granted by a League Fortress, a League must upgrade its Knowledge. Only League Marshals – and those League Members with authorization – are able to Upgrade a League's Fields of Knowledge.
From the beginning, every League's Fields of Knowledge will be at Level 0, but each Field of Knowledge can be upgraded to a maximum Level of 30. The higher the Level of the Knowledge, the greater the bonuses it will provide. IMPORTANT: Bonuses you receive from Knowledge are limited by the Level of your League Fortress. If you have a Field of Knowledge of Level 20, but your Fortress is only Level 10, you will only receive bonuses equivalent to a Field of Knowledge of Level 10.
Knowledge is not affected by attacks, and cannot be downgraded. Once upgraded to a certain Level, it will never drop below that Level.
You can only upgrade ONE Field of Knowledge at a time.
To upgrade Fields of Knowledge, you need Tomes. Tomes are a special League-only Resource that can be acquired either by participating in League Quests and Tournaments, or by purchasing them for Sapphires when attempting to upgrade a Field of Knowledge.
