There are many ways in which you can use your army in the game. Military actions can be split into three basic categories: Offensive, Defensive, and Recon.
There are two ways of finding battles to take part in. The first option is to go to the Radar (either via the red crosshair icon on the left of your screen or by clicking on the Building in your Base) and then selecting Operations (Special Ops or Skull Ops) to send Units to. Alternatively, you can find military targets - other Bases, Resource Caches, Black Sites, and Alliance HQs - by viewing the Map and interacting with them by tapping on them.
You are limited as to the number of Combat Squads, Recon Squads, and Resupply Drones that you can have dispatched at a time. To send more, you will need to upgrade the “Deployment Limit” Tech.
You will periodically be assigned Special Ops, which you can access from your Radar. Special Ops require you to defeat Outfits reinforced by Phoenix Industries’ forces in Offensive Battles, or to successfully defend important WSO partners against Phoenix attacks in Defensive Battles.
Each Special Op has a Level indicating its difficulty, and will be removed from the list of Operations when the Phoenix forces have been defeated completely.
If you fail to completely defeat the enemy during a Special Op, that Special Op will remain on the list until it is completed. The bar on the left hand side of the enemy’s avatar will indicate how strong the remaining forces are.
Once you have completed the highest Level Special Op available to you, a higher level Special Op will appear in its place. However, you may only “Level Up” 12 times per day.
You may be assigned a maximum of 60 Special Ops (30 Offensive and 30 Defensive) from your Radar every 24 hours. Should you wish to continue fighting, either wait, or apply a Special Ops Sensor item from the Store.
