A Capture Squad is a group of Units sent to a Resource Cache. It must contain at least one Combat Unit.
Capture Squads require time to gather Resources from Caches, and during their time, your Units are vulnerable to enemy attacks. However, you can increase the speed with which Resources are gathered - thus minimizing your risk - by researching the Cache Operations Tech. You should also consider sending enough Units to defend against any enemy attacks.
When sending a Capture Squad to a Cache, there are several other parameters that you need to pay attention to. These are as follows:
Attack Strength - This is the Offensive value of the Units you are selecting to send to the Cache.
Transit Time - This value indicates how long it will take for the selected Units to get to the Cache (and for them to Return to your Base). You can speed up outbound Transit Time by applying Travel Boosts.
Capture Squads Remaining - This is how many Capture Squads you currently have available. If you do not have any Capture Squads available, you will either need to wait or recall one from another Cache.
To Be Collected - This indicates how many of the Cache’s Resources will be collected, out of the total number at the Cache. Please note that Capture Squads are not able to collect as many Diamonds as they are other Resources.
Consumption - This refers to your Squad Ration Consumption Limit. Please refer to the Squad Consumption Limit section to read about this mechanic in more detail.
