Dana's Trail is a time-limited Special Event in which you must roll Dice to move along the Trail Map.
While landing on some spaces on the Map will gain you Rewards and Event Resources, or bring you into contact with the Hawker or the Mystic, other spaces contain obstacles to impede your progress.
You can also find Fortune Paths on the Trail, upon which you can collect the most valuable Rewards.
The Trail is split into four Regions, and while you cannot move ahead without Dice, you may look ahead to see what awaits you.
Keep in mind that the Trail can be completed multiple times while the Event is on.
Dice
Dana's Trail features two kinds of Dice: Standard and Precision.
1. Standard Die
Rolling a Standard Die will yield a number between 1 and 6. You can then choose to move forward along the Trail by that number of spaces, or roll a Precision Die. Note that you can only roll a maximum of one Standard Die and one Precision Die per turn.
You can earn up to 30 Standard Dice per day as Rewards when you raid other players' Castles or emerge victorious from battles at the following locations:
- Hamlets
- Beacons
- Battlegrounds
- Quest Battlegrounds
- Stoneheart Battlegrounds
- League Fortresses
This Event is based on luck. Dice are given not for all Battles won. However, the chance of receiving Dice is higher for winning difficult Battles.
Standard Dice are also available in certain Special Offers, from the Mystic, and as part of Dina's Favor Rewards.
2. Precision Die
Rolling a Precision Die, you must choose how many spaces forward you wish to advance, from 1 to 6.
Precision Dice are available in certain Special Offers, and can also be earned as part of Dana's Favor Rewards.
To see all the Dana's Favor Rewards on offer, go to the "Dana's Favor" tab of the Event window.
Event Resources
There are three Event Resources; each one holds unique value, and can be acquired in a variety of ways.
The Resources are:
1. Favor Tokens: these are needed to claim both Free and Premium Dana's Favor Rewards. You can get them when you flip the Mystic's Cards, defeat enemies you encounter along the Trail, and open Trail Chests.
Note that if you wish to claim Dana's Favor Premium Rewards, you must first unlock them by spending Sapphires.
2. Hawker's Passes: these are used to make purchases at the Hawker's Bazaar. You can get them when you flip the Mystic's Cards, defeat enemies you encounter along the Trail, and open Trail Chests.
3. Icons: these determine your position in the Rankings - the more you collect, the higher you climb. You can obtain them by landing on certain spaces on the Trail. Remember, if you claim one of the top spots in the Rankings when the Event ends, you will win a whole cache of Sapphires!
Bear in mind that all your Event Resources, as well as Standard and Precision Dice, will be lost when Dana's Trail closes. Use them while you can!
Trail Space
Each space you land on as you progress along the Trail will present unique challenges and Rewards, so plan your Dice Rolls carefully!
Note, too, that you can only move forwards along the Trail. So, once you pass a space, you cannot interact with it again unless you go around the Trail once more.
The spaces you will encounter are:
1. Enemies
There are three types of enemies on the Trail. From weakest to strongest, they are: Orcish Raiders, Ogres, and Marennon. The mightier your adversary, the better will be the Rewards when you defeat them.
You must wait a certain amount of time between each attack on an enemy, or spend Standard Dice to eliminate the waiting time and vanquish your foe more quickly!
2. Hawker's Offer
If you land on this space, the Hawker will present you with two Offers to choose from. You may only choose one, but you can also check out the "Hawker's Bazaar" tab in the Event window for other Offers.
3. The Mystic
Land here and the Mystic will allow you to flip one card from a selection of four. Flip your chosen card to win a Reward, or to activate a Mystic Multiplier.
Note that Hawker's Passes and Favor Tokens Multipliers will only double the Passes and Tokens you earn from defeating enemies you encounter on the Trail, and will not have any effect on Hawker's Passes and Favor Tokens you acquire from other sources such as Trail Chests.
The Rewards Multiplier will double the Rewards you collect from spaces on the Trail (excluding Fortune Path spaces), and earn from defeating enemies.
4. Dread Mire
Stepping into a Dread Mire impedes your progress along the Trail. You may either cross it slowly alone or spend Standard Dice to enlist the help of local swamp dwellers and escape immediately.
5. Trail Chests
Some spaces along the Trail contain Chests that can be opened by spending Sapphires. Trail Chests come in two varieties Gold and Silver - with Gold Chests containing a more valuable set of Rewards than Silver ones.
6. Arch of Fortune
If you are lucky enough to stumble upon the Arch of Fortune, your next move will take you to the Fortune Path. This hidden avenue contains the Trail's most valuable Rewards!
Moving to the Arch of Fortune:
To move to the Trail with additional rewards, you have to first move to the square with the Arch of Fortune. The movement does not happen immediately as you roll the Die. After rolling the needed number, you have to confirm your position change.
Rewards
There are many prizes to win on the Trail, and there are many ways by which you can procure them.
Some you will collect simply by landing on certain spaces, while others will be yours when you flip the Mystic's Cards, or use Favor Tokens to claim Dana's Favor Rewards.
You can also earn Sapphires by collecting Icons and climbing the Rankings — the biggest prizes will go to the players who secure the top spots.
Finally, forget not that the Trail's most valuable Rewards lie on Fortune Paths, so do everything you can to reach them!
