Solo Tournament
Solo Tournaments are special events that allow you to compete with other Archons across Hellas in a variety of arenas. Participation is optional, however, the outcome of each Tournament can alter the structure of Hellas, resulting in permanent changes to the game map, and unlock rewards or new game features for participating players.
Participation in Tournaments requires Archons to collect as many Tournament Points as possible by carrying out quests with various goals. The Tournament Points you collect will be exchanged for valuable rewards upon completion of the Tournament. All Solo Tournaments are voluntary, and all participating Archons will be rewarded according to their score.
All Archons are divided into Classes according to their respective Level: Novice, Amateur, Professional, Veteran, Master, and Expert. The scale of your reward from the Solo Tournament depends on which Class you belong to when you engage in the contest. Thus, even novice players can receive large rewards if they achieve the top positions in their Class - not just experienced players. You and your fellow Archons are divided into Classes before each Global Tournament, and you will remain locked in that Class bracket for its duration, even if you level up during the mission.
Glory Points (GPs)
You can only earn Glory Points (GPs) by attacking or defending Positions during active Global Quests. You cannot purchase GPs using Grain, Timber, Bronze or Drachmas. You also cannot exchange them or send them as a gift to other players. Other players are unable to claim GPs from your City when raiding. You can use GPs to purchase unique Articles, which are required to train new units and unlock other game features. Once you've collected enough GPs, go to the Market, open the "GPs" tab and select an item you wish to purchase.
Check the Market to view the full list of items and features you are able to purchase.
PvP Warfare
Your enemies are constantly developing their Cities, trying to gain an advantage. But sometimes developing your City isn't enough. Battle other Archons to get Tournament Points. Their fear shall be your Reward! The more enemy troops you take down, the more Points you'll get. Those who succeed will get eye-popping rewards!
Position Takeover
In this Tournament, Archons need to use their Units to clear out Positions across Hellas. You'll get Tournament Points for every Persian Unit you eliminate! Spare no effort and get glorious rewards!
Pantheon Takeover
This Tournament takes the battle from the arena into the global map. You will need to conquer and hold Pantheons in order to earn Tournament Points, and the ultimate number of Tournament Points you collect directly depends on how many Units you take down at the Pantheons.
Recruitment Race
This Tournament is about bolstering your forces. There are four ways to earn Points:
- Train Units in your City
- Revive Units at the Infirmary
- Acquire Units at the Market
- Earn Units as rewards for clearing Persian Positions
The stronger the Units you recruit, the more Tournament Points you will get for them.
Coalition Milestones
Coalition Milestones are special marks on the Coalition progress bar that indicate the factor your personal rewards will be multiplied by. They appear only in the Global Tournaments that your Coalition is able to take part in. The more your Coalition succeeds at completing Tournament goals, the greater the Milestone you will reach. The amount of points a Coalition needs to earn in order to reach the next Milestone will depend entirely upon the size of the Coalition. The bigger the Coalition, the more points it will need in order to advance.
Coalition Tournaments
Coalition Tournaments are special types of Tournaments that your Coalition can compete in together. Any Tournament Points you collect shall be added to the overall score of your Coalition. The more Points your Coalition Members collect, the bigger the Reward you shall be granted upon Tournament completion. Bear in mind that all participating Coalition Members shall receive the same Rewards. To be eligible to receive the Coalition Reward, you must be a permanent member of a Coalition. If a Coalition Tournament appears locked to you, this means that you must first complete your Coalition Training and get promoted to a higher Coalition Role. Coalition Tournaments require high levels of coordination and teamwork, so gather your fellow Coalition Members and commence training today!
Progress Push
To earn Tournament Points in the Progress Push, you must do the following:
- Sign or update Agreements
- Discover or develop Phylarch skills
- Apply Scrolls in the Academy
- Upgrade your General's Equipment
No battle actions are required for this Tournament, Archon. Strengthen your City and get ahead of your rivals. Hellas only has room for champions.
Emporium Occupation
In this Tournament, there are two ways to earn Tournament Points. You are tasked with capturing, occupying and defending Emporia across Hellas.
You shall receive Tournament Points for all the Resources you successfully collect from Emporia, so the longer you hold these sites, and the more Defensive Units you have stationed there to gather and load Resources, the higher your score will be. Note: Different Resources grant different amounts of Tournament Points. 10 Drachmas collected, for example, are worth more Tournament Points than 10 Denarii.
You shall also win Tournament Points for any enemy Units you destroy in battle at Emporia – regardless of whether you are on the offensive or defensive side, and regardless of whether you win or lose the battle.
For more information on capturing Emporia and holding them, refer to the "Emporia" section.
Phylarch Challenge
Show your Phylarch off in the Phylarch Challenge Tournament! Here is how you can earn Tournament Points:
1) Fight Challengers with your Phylarch. In addition to earning you Tournament Points, fighting Challengers will, as always, earn you Phylarch Points as well.
2) Discover and Improve Skills. The Bonuses that Skills provide will, when active, further the development of your City and the strengthening of your armies! The number of Tournament Points you get for Discovering or Improving a Skill depends on the Skill and its Level.
This is it, Archon – your chance to show that you can defeat Challengers and bring glory to your City is here!
Coalition Capital Showdown
This Tournament gives Archons who belong to a Coalition the chance to augment their strength! Prepare yourself for a brutal fight to the death! There are a number of different ways to receive Tournament Points during the Coalition Capital Showdown: You can upgrade your own Coalition Capital, or alternatively downgrade the Capitals of your rivals - fighting and destroying enemy Units in the process! You will receive Tournament Points when you take down enemy Units at any Coalition Capital. Remember: the bigger and stronger Units you can take down, the more Tournament Points you will earn!
