The Path of Artemis is a time-limited Special Event in which you must roll Dice to move along the Path Map.
While landing on some spaces on the Path will gain you Rewards and Event Resources, or bring you into contact with the Traveling Kapelos or the Magos, other spaces contain obstacles to impede your progress.
You can also find Tyche's Trails on the Path, upon which you can collect the most valuable Rewards.
The Path is split into four Regions, and while you cannot move forward without Dice, you may look ahead to see what awaits you.
Keep in mind that the Path can be completed multiple times while the Event is on.
Dice
The Path of Artemis features two kinds of Dice: Standard and Precision.
Rolling a Standard Die will yield a number between 1 and 6. You can then choose to move forward along the Path by that number of spaces, or roll a Precision Die.
If you roll a Precision Die, you must choose how many spaces forward you wish to advance, from 1 to 6.
Note that you can only roll a maximum of one Standard Die and one Precision Die per turn.
You can earn up to 30 Standard Dice per day as Rewards when you raid other players’ Cities or emerge victorious from battles at the following locations:
- Emporia
- Pantheons
- Positions
- Campaign Mission Positions
- Elysian Positions
- Coalition Capitals
This Event is based on luck. Dice are given not for all Battles won. However, the chance of receiving Dice is higher for winning difficult Battles.
Standard Dice are also available in certain Special Offers, from the Magos, and as part of Artemis' Favor Rewards.
Precision Dice are also available in certain Special Offers, and can also be earned as part of Artemis' Favor Rewards.
To see all the Artemis' Favor Rewards on offer, go to the "Artemis' Favor" tab of the Event window.
Event Resources
There are three Event Resources: Favor Tokens, Sacrificial Tablets, and Eikons.
Each one has its own unique value, and they are obtained in a variety of ways.
The Resources are:
1. Favor Tokens are needed to claim both Free and Premium Artemis' Favor Rewards. You can get them when you flip the Magos' cards, defeat enemies you encounter along the Path, and open Path Chests.
Note that if you wish to claim Artemis' Favor Premium Rewards, you must first unlock them by spending Drachmas.
2. Sacrificial Tablets can be exchanged for Units at Iphigenia's Altar. You can get them when you flip the Magos' cards, defeat enemies you encounter along the Path, and open Path Chests.
3. Eikons determine your position in the Rankings — the more you collect, the higher you climb. You can obtain them by landing on certain spaces on the Path.
If you claim one of the top spots in the Rankings when the Event ends, you will win a whole cache of Drachmas.
Bear in mind that all your Event Resources, as well as Standard and Precision Dice, will be lost when the Path of Artemis closes. Use them while you can!
Path spaces
Each space you land on as you progress along the Path will present unique challenges and Rewards, so plan your Dice Rolls carefully!
Note, too, that you can only move forward along the Path. So, once you pass a space, you cannot interact with it again unless you go around the Path once more.
The spaces you will encounter are:
1. Enemies
News of riches draws Xerxes' henchmen to the Path. If you encounter one, you must attack them until they run out of HP.
There are three types of enemies on the Path. From weakest to strongest, they are: Persian Archers, Immortals, and Asvaran. The mightier your adversary, the better will be the Rewards when you defeat them.
You will need to wait a certain amount of time between each attack on an enemy, or spend Standard Dice to eliminate the waiting time and vanquish your foe more quickly!
2. Traveling Kapelos
If you land on this space, the Traveling Kapelos will present you with two Offers. These Offers can be purchased with Drachmas, but note that you may only choose one each time you go around the Path.
3. The Magos
Land here and the Magos will allow you to flip one card from a selection of four. Flip your chosen card to win a Reward, or to activate a Magos Multiplier.
Note that Favor Tokens and Sacrificial Tablets Multipliers will only double the Tokens and Tablets you earn from defeating enemies you encounter on the Path, and will not have any effect on Tokens and Tablets you acquire from other sources such as Path Chests.
The Rewards Multiplier will double the Rewards you collect from spaces on the Path (excluding Tyche's Trail spaces), and earn from defeating enemies.
4. Naiad's Marsh
Stepping into a Naiad's Marsh impedes your progress along the Path. You may either cross it slowly alone, or spend Standard Dice to enlist the help of local marsh dwellers and escape immediately.
5. Path Chests
Some spaces along the Path contain Chests that can be opened by spending Drachmas. Path Chests come in two varieties — Gold and Silver — with Gold Chests containing a more valuable set of Rewards than Silver ones.
6. Arch of Tyche
If you are lucky enough to stumble upon the Arch of Tyche, your next move will take you to Tyche's Trail. This hidden avenue contains the Path's most valuable Rewards!
Moving to the Arch of Tyche
To move to the Trail with additional rewards, you have to first move to the square with the Arch of Tyche. The movement does not happen immediately as you roll the Die. After rolling the needed number, you have to confirm your position change.
Rewards
There are many prizes to win on the Path, and there are many ways by which you can procure them.
Some you will collect simply by landing on certain spaces, while others will be yours when you flip the Magos' cards, or use Favor Tokens to claim Artemis' Favor Rewards.
You can also earn Drachmas by collecting Eikons and climbing the Rankings — the biggest prizes will go to the players who secure the top spots.
Finally, remember that the Path's most valuable Rewards lie on Tyche's Trails, so do everything you can to reach them!
