Migration from Facebook to Plarium Play issues
If the answers given below do not help, submit a request to the Team by following this link.
Issue 1: Can anyone play the game on Facebook after Flash is disabled in Browsers?
Answer: No, the game will be disabled on Facebook. Players who started the game before January 1st, 2021 will be able to save their Facebook progress and continue playing on Plarium Play by going to the game's Facebook community page, clicking on "Play Game", and following the steps to migrate.
Issue 2: If I'm playing on both Plarium.com and Facebook, how can I migrate so that I can keep the progress from both accounts on one Plarium Play account?
Answer: To do this, you will need to connect your Plarium.com account to your Facebook before starting the migration process.
Just log into your account on Plarium.com and follow these steps:
1. Hover over your avatar in the top-right corner and click on "My Profile" in the dropdown menu.
2. Click "Connect your account to Facebook" on the left side.
3. Click the Facebook icon below "Connect your social account" and enter your account details.
4. Go to the game's Facebook community page, click on "Play Game", and follow the steps to migrate.
In case you migrate without connecting your Plarium.com account first, you will have 2 Plarium Play accounts - one for your Facebook progress and one for Plarium.com. You won't be able to keep the progress from both on one Plarium Play account then.
Note: If you've forgotten your Plarium.com password, click on "Forgot your password?" when you're prompted to enter it. We'll send you an email with instructions to reset it.
Issue 3: If I start a new Plarium game on Facebook after migrating to Plarium Play, will its progress update on Plarium Play automatically, or do I have to go through the migration process again for that game?
Answer: We value your privacy so we won't transfer the data unless you authorize it. So, you will have to go through the migration process for that game and click on "Link Facebook account" to transfer its data.
Issue 4: If I already have Plarium Play, why aren't the games from Facebook turning up in My Library after completing the migration process?
Answer: You need the latest version of Plarium Play so you must update it to see the games from Facebook after you complete the migration process.
Issue 5: How can I log in to my Plarium Play account?
Answer: Once you migrate and Plarium Play opens, you'll be logged in automatically. If you log out, you can log in easily by clicking the "Log in" button in the bottom-left corner and then clicking the Facebook icon below "Log in with:"
We recommend that you create a password so you can log in with your Facebook email too. You can set one by clicking your nickname in the bottom-left corner, clicking "Settings", hitting "Account Settings", entering your password, and then clicking "Save changes".
Then, the next time you log in, you can just enter your Facebook email as your Plarium ID followed by your new password.
Note: Both login options will be unaffected by Flash being disabled. They will continue to be available thereafter too.
Issue 6: If I see an error saying "You already have a Plarium account connected to this e-mail address" after clicking "Link Facebook account" while migrating, what should I do?
Answer: If you see that error, it means that you already have a Plarium.com account registered with the same email you use for Facebook. You can solve the issue by connecting your Plarium.com account to your Facebook.
4. Return to the migration page, click on "Link Facebook account", and complete the migration process.
If you've forgotten your Plarium.com password, click on "Forgot your password?" when you're prompted to enter it. We'll send you an email with instructions to reset it.
Note: After Plarium Play launches, make sure to install the game with the Facebook logo in the upper right corner to start playing from where you left off.
Issue 7: Are my Facebook Friends automatically added to Plarium Play when I migrate?
Answer: No, we want to maintain their privacy so you'll have to add them through Plarium Play. Just follow these simple steps:
1. Go to the Friends tab in your Profile
2. Click the magnifying glass icon and enter your friend's Facebook name in the search field
3. Find your friend and click the "Add Friend" icon to send them a friend request
Once your friend accepts the request, they will appear in your Friends list.
Issue 8: Can I still migrate from Facebook to Plarium Play after January 1st, 2021?
Answer: Yes, all players who started playing the game before January 1st, 2021 will be able to transfer their account from Facebook to Plarium Play even after that date.
From January 1st, 2021, the Facebook game link will show a special page with a button directing all players to our Facebook community page where they will get migration instructions to continue playing on Plarium Play.
Issue 9: Why was a new account created after migrating from Facebook when I already had Plarium Play with an existing account?
Answer: If you already had a Plarium Play account that wasn't linked to the Facebook profile you're migrating to, we will create a new account for your Facebook profile automatically.
The migrated Facebook account can be accessed at any time by clicking the "Log in with Facebook" option when logging in. You can still access your old Plarium Play account though by logging out and then logging in with its respective email address.
Note that if your existing Plarium Play account was already linked to the Facebook account that you're migrating, all the games from Facebook should appear on that account.
Issue 10: Why am I prompted to download Plarium Play again while migrating when I already have it on my PC?
Answer: Unfortunately, we cannot verify that you have the latest version when you start the migration process.
When you try to install it on Windows, we can then verify that you have it and show an alert like this where you just have to click "Launch" to start it -
If your installed version is outdated, Plarium Play will update and then launch.
On Mac, however, you will have to reinstall Plarium Play during migration to save your game progress and pick up from where you left off.
Issue 11: Will the migration process work even if I cannot confirm my email address?
Answer: Yes. You just need to follow the migration process instructions to save your Facebook game progress and continue playing from where you left off on Plarium Play.
Even if you've lost access to the email address associated with your account and you cannot confirm the verification email, you can still play the games from Facebook on Plarium Play if you complete the migration process.
Issue 12: Will you develop HTML5 versions of the games so they can still be played on browsers?
Answer: We are working on HTML5 versions but a number of optimizations and updates are needed to make them feasible for all users.
We cannot estimate how long this will take or if it'll be viable for everyone so the only way to continue playing will be by migrating to Plarium Play. If the HTML5 option is possible, we will of course let you know immediately.
Issue 13: Will there be a problem when migrating the games from Facebook if I use the same email address for Facebook and Plarium Play?
Answer: If you use the same email address for Facebook and your account on Plarium Play or Plarium.com, you must log in to Plarium Play, click on your nickname, and then click on "Link" next to Facebook in the "Linked Accounts" section of your Profile.
Issue 14: Why does my Facebook avatar not appear as my Plarium Play avatar once I migrate?
Answer: If you've created an account on Plarium Play previously, you will see the default gray avatar or the Plarium.com avatar you set. If you've never had a Plarium Play account, though, you will see your Facebook avatar.
In case you want to change your avatar, open Plarium Play, click your nickname in the bottom-left corner, and then go to your avatar and click "Edit" to change it.
Issue 15: Why am I at Level 1 again in the game after migrating?
Answer: There are 3 possible reasons. Please make sure that you:
1. Chose the correct game server. It should be the same one that you played on Facebook.
2. Followed the migration instructions properly and linked your Facebook account to Plarium Play.
3. Clicked the game with the Facebook logo when launching it in Plarium Play
