Even though the Tournaments may be visible in the Events Tab players still need to restart the game and perform some specific in-game actions (e.g. Raid another Player, send Reinforcements etc.) to activate the Tournament. Only after activating and "opening" the Tournament players are able to score points in the Tournament and actively participate in it.
