Team Position Takedown is a Tournament in which players must form Teams of four, fight at Positions, and progress through Areas. You can access it by navigating to the Team Positions subtab in the Oracle or Special Events tab.
In this Tournament, you must independently clear a Position in each Area to progress and receive Rewards. The more Areas you and your Team Members complete, the more Rewards you will receive. A Grand Reward is available for Teams who complete all Areas.
Team Formation
Any player of Level 60 or higher can create or join a Team. You can create a Team up to three days before the start of the Tournament or at any point during the Tournament. Alternatively, you can join an existing Team if you receive an Invitation from its Team Captain. You can also choose to be placed in a Random Team with three other players that are selected for you automatically. To do so, click the "Random Team" button in the Team Positions subtab in the Oracle.
The player who creates the Team is the Team Captain. If you decide to join the Random Team, the player who clicks the "Random Team" button earliest will be the Team Captain.
The Team Captain may send Invitations to other players to join the Team. Only 3 Invitations per Team may be active at one time, and Invitations are valid for 24 hours. If a player accepts the Invitation, he cannot be removed from the Team until the Tournament is over. The Team Captain can delete the Team, but only if there are no Team Members, Mercenaries, or active Invitations to other players. The same Team Captain may then create a new Team, but the second Team cannot be deleted until the end of the Tournament.
You may leave up to two Teams (either Random Teams or Teams you have joined by Invitation), but only before the start of the Tournament. If you join a third Team, you must stay in it until the Tournament is over.
Mercenaries
Mercenaries are non-player Team Members. They can be added to the Team to fight in place of players, and will match the progress of the Captain who hired them.
You can purchase an unlimited number of Mercenaries in Special Offers. They are stored at the Market, and only three can be used at a time. If you have 3 Invitations already active, you will need to withdraw at least one Invitation to assign a Mercenaries to the Team. Note that you cannot remove Mercenaries once they have been assigned to your Team.
Rules
Team Positions are split into Areas. Every Area consists of one Offensive and one Defensive Position. Team Members must each send Units to one of these Positions and clear it of enemies to progress to the next Area. If you attempt one type of Position and fail to clear it, you cannot switch to the other. The Area will only be totally completed when all 4 Team Members complete their respective Areas. You cannot send Guardians to Team Positions, and Units sent to them will not benefit from any active Boosters or Bonuses. Points earned by defeating enemy Units at these Positions can count towards other Events, Tournaments, and Moon Quests, just like regular Positions.
