In order to research or upgrade Tech, you will require an empty Research Slot. Only one Tech can be assigned to one slot at a time.
Your Base has one Research Slot by default. However, you can temporarily open Extra Research Slots, allowing the simultaneous research or upgrade of an additional Tech. Extra Research Slots are available only as part of Special Offer Packages, and will be active for 7 days after activation.
