Overview
The Darknet Recruitment Race is a time-limited Tournament where your Combine must clear Darknet Locations to earn Tech Components and advance through Tournament Stages. Tech Components are needed to train Prototype Units in the Syndicate Dark Labs located in your COBRA Base. By training Prototype Units, your Combine can earn Tournament Points and climb up the Rankings!
To participate in this Tournament, you must fulfill the following requirements:
- You must be a fully-fledged Combine Member
- Your Combine must not be in the process of being dismissed
- You must unlock your COBRA Base
- Your Combine must have 10 or more fully-fledged Members who have unlocked their COBRA Bases.
Darknet Locations and Tech Components
Darknet Locations are available for only 3 days during the Tournament, accessible through the Syndicate Dark Labs. When you start the Tournament, all Combine Members can find 2 Darknet Locations to engage. Note that you cannot send any Special Operatives to Darknet Locations.
By clearing them, you can acquire Tech Components, which are needed to train Prototype Units and advance through Tournament Stages. Acquiring enough Tech Components completes a Stage. Each new Stage you reach (except the final one) reveals two Darknet Locations.
Completing the final Stage gets you a Reward! The final Stage Reward can be claimed after the Tournament is over. You must have cleared at least one Darknet Location during the Tournament to claim it.
After clearing each Darknet Location, you can choose a Bonus out of three options. These Bonuses will be active while the Darknet Locations are available.
Prototype Unit Training
During the Tournament you can train Prototype Units by accessing the "Prorotype Unit Training" tab in your Syndicate Dark Labs.
Each Tournament allows you to use Tech Components to train two Units - one Offensive Unit and one Defensive Unit. The Unite you can train will change from one Tournament to the next
Note: You can only boost Prototype Unit training with COBRA Boosts. You can also increase the speed of Prototype Unit training by upgrading each Unit's Extralegal Contracts.
Prototype Units not training
If you put too many Prototype Units in the training queue, the training time will exceed the time of the Tournament. Unfortunately, once the Darknet Recruitment Race Tournament ends, all your Tech Components needed to train Prototype Units disappear. Thus, you will not have the required Resources — Tech Components — to train these special Units.
Tournament Rankings
Tournament Ranking is based on the Tournament Points your Combine earns by training Prototype Units:
- 1 Defensive Prototype Unit yields 1 Points
- 1 Offensive Prototype Unit yields 2 Points
You can claim a special Reward if your Combine places in the Top 100!
