Overview
Troops protect your Sector, invade other Sectors, and help your Friends out when they need it.Research Technologies and construct new Buildings to unlock new, more powerful Troops.
Offense and Defense
Troops can be either Offensive or Defensive (with the exception of Cyborgs which have the same value for both). Click on the unit when purchasing it to see detailed stats. A Red border indicates Offensive Troops, a Green one means they're defensive. Defensive units are essentially useless when attacking but highly effective at protecting a Sector or Deposit.Conversely, Offensive units are designed for attacks but have a low defense value. If your Sector has tons of Offense and no Defense - don't be surprised when you get Invaded. A good tactic is to develop dedicated forces of either Offensive or Defensive units tasked with either taking or holding Sectors.
Regular vs. Elite Units
There are two variants of every unit in the game - Regular and Elite. Regular units are purchased with Uranium, Titanium and Credits. Elite units are purchased with Crystals and cost significantly less Resources. Regular and Elite units are otherwise identical in performance and stats.You may also add Elite Sector Security to your Sector's Defense. Elite Sector Security are special improvement Items that act as permanent defensive Units stationed within your Sector grounds. These may only be stationed inside your Sector, and may be repaired for free after each enemy attack.
In addition to Elite Sector Security, you will eventually be able to acquire Fleet Battle Group Units. These Units receive powerful attributes and bonuses when sent into battle with supporting Units of the same type (Infantry, Air Forces, Armored Corps, and Artillery Units).
Unit Statistics
Your military is divided into four different branches: Infantry, Armored Corps, Artillery, and Aviation. Each one of these Branches fields 4 different units - 2 Offensive and 2 Defensive.Each of these units has their own particular balance of effectiveness against Offensive or Defensive units of each branch. Click the question mark at the top of the frame or directly on the image of the unit to find out detailed information about its strengths and weakness.
Each military unit has the following statistics:
- Unit Type: To which class a Unit belongs (Infantry, Armor, Artillery, or Air Force);
- Upgrade Level: the Level to which you've upgraded your Unit (max. 20);
- Cost: the amount of Resources and Credits needed to produce one unit;
- Capacity: The amount of Resources the unit can recover on raids;
- Speed: The speed at which this unit travels on the Map;
- Production time: The amount of time required to produce one unit.
You can improve a Units statistics by:
- Applying Artifacts;
- Researching Technologies;
- Using Tech Nodes at the Tech Nexus;
- Deploying them with Fleet Battle Units;
Take this into account when developing your military and building your Army.
Using your Troops
All combat Units are produced by specific Military buildings. Research new Technologies to unlock new buildings and Units. The higher the Level of a Technology, the stronger the Unit it unlocks will be during an engagement.Your Units can be used for different purposes:
- Attacks, Raids, Recon Missions, or Defense of Sectors, Infestations, Deposits, or Emitters;
- Reinforcements sent to Allies;
You can send Units to assist your friends in several ways (see the "Player Interactions" section for more).
Cyborgs
The Cyborg is a multi-purpose Infantry unit. It's equally well-suited for both Offensive and Defensive roles, it does not consume Credits for its maintenance and can carry a large load of Resources during Raids. If a Cyborg has been killed, you can revive him as soon as you have enough Mutagen. You can create up to 3 Cyborgs a day. Your Friends can create more Cyborgs for you if they click on your CyberLab every day. You can maintain up to 50 Cyborgs simultaneously. One shot of Mutagen is needed to create each Cyborg. Every day your supply of Mutagen is restocked automatically - and the maximum amount of Mutagen stored at your Cyberlab is sufficient for 3 Cyborgs.When stationed at a Sector as Reinforcements, only up to 2000 Cyborgs fight in a battle to defend the Sector. However, the losses among Cyborg army are spread evenly between the whole number of Cyborg reinforcement.
