Overview
Stashes are sites on the Map where you can find one of the three main types of Resources (Fire Ale, Fish or Mushrooms) or a special Resource like Magic or Emeralds, hidden away by a kleptomanic goblin who joined the ranks of the undead long since. There are several sizes of Stashes to be found, and the higher your Level in the game, the bigger and better the Stashes you'll be able to find. The speed at which your Units can load Resources at a Stash depends on the update Level of your Packenfjord Blood Bact. The total number of Resources you can collect in one go is determined by the collective carrying capacity of the Defensive Units you have stationed at the site.
A Stash expires when no one has attacked or captured it for an extended period of time, or if it has been depleted of Resources.
When new Stashes appear on the Map, they are vacant and unguarded – so try to be first to capture one! Any player can view the number of Resources currently stored there by positioning their cursor over the site.
Stash Interactions
Position your cursor over a Stash on the Map to view information about it.You will be able to view the number of Resources held within it, and its status (whether the Stash is under someone's control or not). You may also choose from a set of possible ways to engage the Stash, such as "Attack," "Capture," or "Dispatch Scouts."
Capture
Building the Orcish Dirigible allows you to locate and capture Stashes. Initially, you can hold a maximum of 3 Stashes at a time, as indicated by the number of Bearhemoths you have. To increase that number, go to the "Skills" tab of your Hero Panel and upgrade "Maximum Stashes" to Level 30.To capture a Stash, select it on your Map (or via the Orcish Dirigible), pick out the Units you want to send, then click "Occupy." Be advised that you will need BOTH Offensive and Defensive Units to capture a Stash, though only the Offensive Units will participate in the attack. When the battle's over, if you lose, your surviving Units will retreat to your Stronghold. If you're successful, surviving Offensive Units will automatically report to your Catacombs. Either way, the Defensive Units you send will NOT engage in the battle.
Once you've successfully captured a Stash, you will be able to view its information under the "Stashes" tab of the Keep. After taking a few minutes to get settled, your Defensive Units will begin to pick through all the junk and load their bears up with Resources. Only Defensive Units can do the gathering and loading, and the number of Resources that they can load depends on their collective carrying capacity and the Resource type (Emeralds are heavier than Mushrooms, for example). Therefore, the more Units you have at the site, and the bigger their carrying capacity, the more Resources you'll be able to collect. Upgrade the Packenfjord Blood Pact to increase the speed at which your Units can load Resources at Stashes. Once your Units have gathered all the Resources they can carry, they will be returned to your Catacombs. This happens automatically - no recall action is necessary on your part.
To maintain control over a Stash you've captured, you'll want to keep a sizeable garrison of Defensive Units stationed there. They will not only fill up on Resources, but also protect the Stash from pesky invaders.
Remember that you can still engage Stashes that are held by your Allies! Choose your battles carefully, Lord Marshal – sometimes, short-term profit isn't worth losing a valuable Alliance. If your Units are defeated, and an Enemy takes control of the Stash, all surviving Units will return to your Fortress empty-handed. They will not recover any Resources.
Scouting
You must have a Dragon Hatchery in your Stronghold in order to scout Stashes. To Scout a Stash, select it on your Map, pick out the Scouting Units you want to send, then click the "Dispatch Scouts" button.Successful Scouting missions will allow you to detect all Units guarding a given Stash.
Position a large number of Scout Units to protect your Stash from being Scouted by enemies.
Attack
All Lord Marshals are free to either Attack or Capture Stashes held by any other players. By attacking a Stash, you will NOT be able to collect its Resources, but you will be able to earn Experience Points and other Points relevant to the Rankings. More importantly, it allows you to disrupt a rival's Resource collection.Go to the Battle Menu or find a Stash you want to attack on the Map, choose the Units you want to send, then click "Attack!".
The battle for a Stash takes place immediately upon your Units' arrival at the site. None of your Units will hang around to garrison the Stash if you attack it; all surviving Units are withdrawn to your Stronghold immediately following the battle.
When attacking a Stash, it is recommended that you only send Offensive Units. Unlike the capturing mechanics, if you attack a Stash with both Offensive and Defensive Units, your Defensive Units will participate in the battle and will likely suffer heavy losses.
Reinforcements
You can only send Reinforcements to your own Stashes. You can choose the number and type of Units you wish to send via the "Stashes" tab of your Keep. You can also recall Reinforcements from this interface.IMPORTANT: Any Units you recall early will come back bearing no Resources. If you would like to recall so many Units that the carrying capacity of the remaining Units is insufficient for the amount of Resources already loaded, then you must recall ALL Units. For example, let's imagine you have 10 Shield Maidens stationed at a Stash, and their carrying capacity is 10 each, and 40 Fish are already loaded. If you recall 5 of them, the other 5 will remain until the last 10 Fish are loaded, then head home. If you want to recall 8 of them, however, that would leave only 2 Shield Maidens with 40 Fish - too much for them to carry. So in the latter case, all 10 of them would head home together, with your 40 Fish, leaving the Stash empty and unguarded.
